Gestures
Dear Kelly,
I don’t even know where to begin as writing this makes it even more real. I had the pleasure to teach with you and will never forget your beautiful smile. There were many stressful times during our time together, and every time I went into your classroom to vent, you would give me that big smile of yours with that twinkle in your eye. Your squinting smile was always so contagious that it made me smile and feel better. You will always be remembered for that! May you rest peacefully. I know heaven has gained an angel!
You taught our kids some many things and that cannot be taken away. Your smile always made a gloom day sunny, and Quique holds you very close in his heart.
We shall never forget you.
With love, Sylvia, Enrique, Quique (first communion student 2015-2016), Monica and Oscar Marugan
Ms. McKeon:
When I think of you, I think of that special smile that you had for my son who was always just a little bit late with homework that was more than a little bit sloppy. It was a smile that said, it doesn't matter. We're going to learn, and we are going to have fun, and it is all going to be great. And it was. He loved having you for a teacher. None since have even come close to meeting your standard.
I love you so much Kelly. You were my friend from the moment we met at AOSJ. There are very few people in life that can make another person just feel so at ease, so understood and so comfortable. Your light shined so bright everyday. I remember helping you set your room up that summer you started teaching. And the funny skating shoes I gave you and how we laughed. We would just look at each other and laugh when things got stressful. You always made me feel understood and were so kind. I miss you so much here. I am so grateful for your laughter, for your incredible spirit and good energy. You are a beautiful person . My heart breaks for your family, for all of us - but at the same time I know you gave us in your short life - what we all need - brilliance, talent, a sense of humor and a pure and loving heart. I love you so much - I will always be your friend, and I will see you when it is my time:) God Bless - you It hurts so bad - I will LOVE as you have shown us all - With Irish Eyes Smiling (crying but smiling!), John Byrne
