Obituary of Marie Rose Brilvitch

Marie Rose A. (Markunas) Brilvitch R.N passed away on August 27, 2017 at her home after a struggle with cancer. She was born on July 2, 1936, in Shenandoah, PA, the daughter of William and Ann Markunas. Marie graduated from J.W Cooper High school in 1954 and Ashland State General Hospital Nursing school in 1957. She was a den mother, girl scout leader, and a special Olympics volunteer. She was a member of the Holy Family choir, St Catherine of Sienna Choir Elderberries, Columbiettes, Marian Guild, Knights of Lithuania, and Servants of Lord of Matara. Marie was preceded in death by her son, William David Brilvitch and her brother Frank (Duke) Markunas. She is survived by her husband, William E. Brilvitch; Daughter, Ann Marie Ott; Sons Peter and Paul Brilvitch; Sister, Roseann Markunas; Son and Daughters-in-law, Mike, Veronica, Melissa, and April. Grandchildren; Nicholas, Joshua, Jennifer, Nicole and Elaina. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center and at 11 am at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Burial will take place on Saturday at 1 pm in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Cemetery Rd., Shenandoah, PA. Calling hours will he held on Thursday from 4-8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
